Ian has a busy trial and appellate practice in the state and federal courts in the areas of criminal defense, personal injury and civil rights. In addition to having been co-counsel in federal criminal jury trials, he has been a member of a team representing a special litigation committee of the Target Corporation, has managed appeals in the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, and represents clients accused of felony and misdemeanor offenses in state and federal court. When not looking for an edge for the clients he represents, Ian pursues his other passion – tournament level cards – and travels the World playing in poker and card tournaments which he occasionally wins. He recently competed in the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas where he had a good run.
Ian is an honors graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School where he was awarded a Robina Scholarship all three years of law school. He is a lifelong Minnesotan who gets up every day looking for his next challenge.
